What low priority actually is
Low priority is a temporary punishment applied for abandoning matches or picking up too many reports. To clear it you have to win a set number of games in Single Draft mode — nothing else counts, and no other mode is available to you until it's done.
It usually comes from abandoning a game, going AFK, feeding, abusive chat, or being reported repeatedly. It can also catch you by association: if someone in your party of five abandons, the rest of you can land in LP or a temporary matchmaking ban.
Your conduct summary sits behind all of this. Based on your last 25 games, it decides who you get queued with — a low score puts you in lobbies full of people with the same score. If yours has dropped, our behaviour score service handles that separately.
What you lose while in LP
- No item drops after matches
- Dota Plus quests can't be completed
- Seasonal events and rewards are unavailable
- Every other game mode is locked
